We identified our common pain points, some of which we hadn't previously recognized.
We generated over 11 ideas and narrowed them down to the top 2 through voting.
We also compiled a list of tasks that we can currently improve upon.
Learning
When we planned this workshop, we embarked on a journey of learning, starting from defining goals, crafting agendas, selecting participants, and choosing tools. I believe it was a truly valuable experience.
While there were many details to be learned through executing this workshop in practice, especially in terms of how to encourage participants to engage and guide them in sharing their perspectives without providing specific directions.
I want to express my gratitude to my partner, Lydia, with whom I collaborated to plan and execute the entire workshop.
Improvement
Time estimation: The actual execution of the activities took longer than we predicted. We could plan more buffer time.
Open-ended questions: Asking questions effectively requires continuous training and practice. By asking the right questions and avoiding leading questions, we can facilitate greater exchange and sharing among participants.
Closure: Though we did a rehearsal, we didn't conclude with a summary. Next time, we could prepare several possibilities to ensure a better closure.
Well done!
Interactive activities: We prepared Bingo activities to serve as an icebreaker, allowing participants to organize and share their thoughts in a game way before the main activities.
Cross-functional collaboration: We invited three teams from different functions to exchange thoughts and update each other on their current work from various perspectives.
